I bet you would be. Bit short and wide for me, but it is quite the looker.

Oddly enough, that's part of why I like it. I didn't really like the thin, mostly straight profile of the Windlass shamshir, I like shorter swords (I'll use just about any sword, but I certainly prefer shorter ones), and the false edge on this one could be put to some serious use as a face-splayer.

I can definitely see the charm in the shape, but I'd still like it a bit longer.

I know it's not a kilij, but how about this, then:

Yeah, that's okay, too. ...Tulwar, no? I know a few of these but most are hard for me to tell apart still.

Yeah, it's a Tulwar. It's made by the same guy who makes the kilij. The guy also makes some pretty sweet knives and I believe a bare katana blade.

Ah, no worries. Well, it's up there for anyone who wants to check it out, now. He's also got some pretty sweet knives, as well.

I've wanted a good kilij for years. I've even been tempted to have a custom kilij built. I really wish a high quality repro was available.

This little video here pretty much sums up what I think about the Kilij Yeah, we need more of them on the market!

Shooter, if you want a kilji, I'd look up Odinblades. John Lundemo just did a pretty impressive Mehmed II kilji for a MyArmoury forumite-- it's practically a 2-hander!

Would this one be total crap if given a proper edge? www.cashanwei.com/cashanwei/prod ... ?id=SH2354 The price is pretty low, and it seems to have all of the characteristics that make a kilij a great cutter.

I'd be interested to find out 'cause, even if it's based on fantasy, I think it still looks pretty cool. The only difficulty (to me) would be making a proper fitting sheath for it.
