My girlfriend stopped me watching to say how handsome you are, Zach. Forever alone You should be in movies, bro. Good head, good voice. And while everybody else fawns over the viking, I'm gonna jump right in and say how damn nice the bastard (?) below it is...

Nice work on Henry VI man, some great lines in there, but it's one of Bill's more overlooked pieces sadly.

Thanks, mate. His histories are often swept under the rug, but there are some real gems in there. Dude was a pretty darn good writer.

As evidenced by the change in signature.. I'm no voice actor, but I've had a bit of training under several accomplished ones for Ren Faire's, and seen a ton of talented actors... I would have seen you as a perfect Jon Snow, or if tanned and accented, a great Syrio Forrel... In fact, now that I think of that last one, I keep picture you speaking the line about what to tell the God of Death

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Johnny Depp yet. Usually crops up in the first few responses to one of Zach's videos.
Great work as always, I still think your Libertine speech was my favorite.

Not even. Zach seems way sexier then Depp, maybe because I know Zach has sword. Depp is just kind of weird.

Bringin' this thread back from the grave. I don't feel comfortable calling this one a design, so I'll just saw it's a drawing I did recently. I've been thinking a lot about type XIV's lately and one of the most famous is the Copenhagen sword, listed as XIV.3 in Records. I thought I'd work on a drawing derived from the Copenhagen, but I wanted the facets on the pommel to be more visible and fewer and I like the look of a stronger guard curve. These are both design changes first perfected by Peter Johnsson--there are actually two swords in the Albion Next Gen lineup based on the Copenhagen sword. The Prince used it for the basis of the hilt design and the Sovereign used it for the basis of the blade design (among other influences). Combining the altered elements along the lines of the original sword does not make this image my design--the choices here I will not claim as my own. But I think it was at least a good exercise to work around proportions and elements that I already respect and admire. I had a somewhat crappy pen that day, hence a few botched lines and the unintended central ridge after the fullers. But I don't mind it too much. Anyway, there it is.

Good to see you're still sketching out lovely sharp things, Luna Getting closer to October, Christian has me penciled in for bringing the Montoya to life during that month. Can't wait You don't happen to live in the NW part of the country do you? I'm moving to Portland in August and it would be cool if I could show you the sword in person when I get it.

Thanks, Wes!
I'm stationed in Colorado for the time being, but I might end up further west later in the year. Keep me posted, neh? Would be cool to see that one 'in the flesh' so to speak.

Hey Luna as always top notch mate, that pommel is on one of my favorite swords, here is a photo from Albion's site as they take better photos than me, but not as fancy as the photos you take Attachments:

Thanks Dave. I love that elongated peen area at the back of the pommel on the Alpha Omega. Such a mean-looking sword!

Wanted to say thanks for the lovely, lovely designs! I have two tantos coming my way and I've been researching all sorts of ideas on what to do with them - and Straven and Mummy are the answers! (I love Japanese blades, but I also like unique design, and the sort of elven shape appeals to me so very much). Also I've always loved Egypt and Horus, so the bird blades are perfect!
Many thanks for the lovely, perfect inspiration.
And the Cthulhu. Definitely almighty the Cthulhu. That is high octane awesome sauce.
Best, Nine

Cheers, brother, thanks. I want to reiterate though that the only bit of the Cthulhu piece I designed was the scabbard. The rest is all Jeffrey Robinson and Wes, executed by Jeffrey, Brendan, and Sonny Suttles.

Don't sell yourself short though there, Zach! The sword is awesome, but the scabbard completes it. The whole package is what really makes that sword special edit: Oh yeah There was a setback with the Montoya and Gus wasn't able to make the blade. Christian and I found a substitute though and everything is back on track now. Don't have a definite date for completion yet, but hopefully not too much longer
