I found the highlander sword. Not the best replica. Not the most functional version. I mean I found the highlander sword. The one that started it all. Time has not been good to it, but here is a link where you can buy the actual, honest-to-goodness highlander sword, the one that was wielded by Sean Connery and Christopher Lambert in the original film. www.propstore.com/product-Connor-Macleod-Russell-Edwin-Nash-s--Chirstopher-Lambert--Katana-Sword.htmIt is beat to hell, but it is quite real and quite authentic. The iconic dragon head has been snapped off the end of the hilt, but you can actually see the moment it breaks off on-film if you watch closely during the final fight. You can have it, THE actual highlander katana, for the low-low price of $10,750. Thoughts? I'm not sure what to think of this.

I suppose that you would have to be the #1 Highlander fan in the known world, a movie/prop/scifi/fantasy collector, or some investment speculator to plop down the ducats for that piece.
That sword never did anything for me, even when the movie was fresh.

That's alot of scratch for it. Agree that you would have to be a die-hard fan to buy it.

^^^Yes, indeed. Haha, dunno how I missed that when I typed it. :)Zach, thanks for finding that, wow, description says 'shiny steel blade' where's the broken off piece I wonder Also you would have thought there would be multiples of prop blades, in case one got broke in first scene of filming. For me that blade, even as collectible, even if my last name was Gates, dang it sure ain't , I have been ruined by a sword review on our forum, and this blade for real, as it is said "There can only be one." ...for me anyways. Actually not sure if even Billy Gates could pry the 'one' from the current owners grip ;D /index.cgi?board=swordreviews&action=display&thread=17571 fallschirmjager, they absolutely do make several swords in most productions depending on use, shot, for backups, etc., but this is the main metal stunt blade used in the final battle. Swordfights are often shot sequentially, and since this one broke at the very end of the fight, I suspect it wasn't worth it to go reshoot that moment with a new pristine sword when it can only be seen briefly anyway. Talk about a "battle-worn" finish!
