First off this is my first sword as well as review so I apologize for the blurry pictures and for not dissembling it.
Lets start with the customer service and shipping. It was not shipped as promptly as advertised I bought it the 22nd and it was not shipped until the 27th however once it was shipped I got it very quickly receiving it today august 2nd. I also did not receive any emails back when I asked for a tracking number so that worries me if a problem arises.
Opening:
The sword came packed in a Styrofoam box covered in shipping paper the sword fit snugly inside with no wiggle. It came with a fairly nice sword bag. Now onto the unexpected. after I got the swordbag upon I noticed two very unusual things the tsuba was shrink wrapped to keep the Ito wrap preserved and the saya had a plastic bag inside it to protect the saya from the shipping grease.
Tsuka:

The Ito wrap which is blue cotton has no fraying and feels very well wrapped in my hands as well as the tsuka being double pegged however as the picture shows the Menuki leans to one side not a serious flaw and one that could be fixed but one nevertheless. The Tsuba and Kashira appear to be plain but I could find no flaws with them
Blade:
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
The blade has a mirror polish and came scratch and corrosion free(except the kissaki) it by far was the sharpest blade I have ever owned and it sliced cleanly though a sheet of paper. I of course had to hack up some bottles and sliced a milk jug into 4 pieces as expected the blade had no damage. The blade is also very thick much thicker than expected but I have nothing to compare it to.

Kissaki: The Kissaki unfortunately the blades biggest flaw and its best feature which is why I devoted a section to it.. It is razor sharp and I have never owned a knife in my life that could pierce as well as it could I felt no resistance stabbing with it. however the polish on it is horrible and as thusly it is specked with surface rust I'll probably buy some high grit sandpaper and fix it I'm not worried about it not matching as it already does not..

The picture does not show the rust but unfortunately it is definitely there and is disappointing.
All in all I cannot say if this is better than a musashi of the same price as Ive never owned one but flaws aside It came razor sharp and the blade was definitely worth the money a 9260 katana from cheness is $299 which is a very massive price difference. I will make a video cutting and flexing the blade later but I probably won't play lumberjack with it to test how strong it is because I can't afford a new one.
