By my calculations, Paul should be in the air at this very moment. Clear skies, Paul!

The flower that blooms in adversity is often the most beautiful and highly prized of all. Your daughter is gorgeous paul, I hope you had fun in Japan and that Puaul hasn't ripped the furniture up in your absence.

Oh, no! I'd forgotten about Puaul! As long as he hasn't escaped from Paul's basement dungeon, all should be well. If he has escaped...[shudder] ;D

Thanks Rammers, I had left quite a bit of Pual's favorite foods in the cellar before I went, but if he hadn't been fed some fresh stuff in between, I dread to imagine what we would be coming back to... Anyway, glad to say that we have arrived back safe and sound - though very tired. I have a mountain of paperwork and stuff to catch up on over the next few days, so it may be a little while before I am back in the swing of things (not to mention I have to take Pual for a walk) - but will be back to normal soon. Was a fantastic trip - I miss the place already!! Chat later all, - Paul

Yours truly feeding the Deer. Nara is famous for its Deer as shrine guardians. Cheeky buggers get too much free grub though - one of them had the audacity to headbutt baby lana in the leg when no food came from them...! Probably because you were feeding them cigarettes mate. ;D

Wow, nice to see that you got to visit Japan. I was just there about 2 weeks ago and it honestly is the most fantastic country in the whole entire world! I still haven't left Asia yet (I have been here for a month), and in fact: I am in Vietnam as we speak. Everyone seems so disciplined! There is barely any trash and there are more recycling bins than trash bins. There are even bins for you to pour your ice before you throw your cup into the green-box, and EVERYONE does it! It's fantastic. The food there is also very inexpensive, extremely tasteful and rather fresh. Swords are quite rare to find actually and you aren't (obviously) allowed to bring them on Airplanes or anything. Quite a disappointment for me, but I knew it was for the greater good. I stayed at the Dai-Ichi Hotel in Tokyo, Ginza district. Ginza was wonderful as was almost every other district in Tokyo. I <3 Ginza + Shibuya the most though! Hopefully I will be able to move there in the future, assuming I pass their very strict immigration policy. I am going to keep having to work on that Japanese of mine .

I just now noticed this thread. I would love to go to Japan. I want to go see Kyoto and Musashi's Shrine. You are lucky to get to visit there more than once per lifetime. T_T
