Hey guys,
It has been a very busy month - which is why some of you may have noticed that I haven't really been very active on the forum in November other than a quick daily pop in to check my PMs and make sure everything is (more or less) running smoothly.
But the reason why is because I have been frantically preparing my latest project for its official launch on the 1st of December.
SBG's sister site...
Drumroll
Called Sword Manufacturers Guide.com
Some of you may have seen it or stumbled on it as it has been online in some form or another since February this year. But only in the last couple of months have I spent any significant time on it - and only THIS month, after the death of Hank Reinhardt (who was one of the people who suggested I create it) has it reached a stage where I am ready to release it.
As you can tell, SMG will cross reference with SBG quite a bit - and in the first week of December after the official release - I will be spending time integrating the two sites.
Yes, it is far from complete - but that is where I would like everyone who reads this thread to help out. Not every brand is covered yet. But for those that are, you'll notice that there are many opportunities to submit your own experiences and opinions on the various brands.
If you want to add a mini review (i.e. a pic of one of the swords and a few words), make a comment on them or anything else - please do so! It's currently a bit bare from user submitted info - but this is what will make it all come to life, and give so many more perspectives that will REALLY make it interesting.
The official announcement and more info will be made in the pending issue of the Sword Buyers Digest. But for now, have a look - tell me what you think - and any suggestions - and contributions - are MORE than welcome.
Thanks for bearing with me (there are a couple more minor projects that will be revealed when the Digest comes out in December, but this is the biggun).
Cheers!
- Paul
