Hey Folks! Just sent out the April edition of the Sword Buyers Digest to all and sundry. I figured that I might as well sent it today as if I sent it on the 1st, well - some people might think it was a joke... Anyway, I've just spent the last two days solid typing it up and formatting it (so much so that I have some of the keyboard stuck to my fingertips) and will be even putting it direct on SBG as a preview to encourage more causal visitors to check it out and sign up. And for those of you playing at home who aren't subscribed, here's the link: clients.acroflip.com/?userpath=00000003/00000261/00000573/I also did last months (troubled ) edition in this cool format for anyone who couldn't download the 5 meg pdf... Anyway, hope you all enjoy it! The best thing is, I can make it bigger each edition! Hope you enjoy it! There's quite a few articles that were originally from the forum there, but I think you'll find that the magazine format really gives them life and brings them to a wider audience than us 'hard core' core addicts, oops - I mean, members. Cheers guys, have fun. - Paul

Wow indeed, what a great issue. I really hope you continue to use that format, I actually read it twice, mostly just to turn pages. Loved the article on the knights as well, it's amazing the things I learn from this board. -John

Lol. I know what you mean about turning the pages.. My wife thought I had finally snapped after I sat there for around 20 minutes just flipping back and forth and admiring this softwares handiwork... ;D It's almost as addictive as sword collecting (well, not really. NOTHING is as addictive as sword collecting!)

Well, the May edition of the Sword Buyers Digest has just - er, 'hit the stands' and has been sent out to all and sundry... This time I have opted for a Acroflip AND pdf version for those who emailed me requesting a downloadable copy (i.e. dialup, no flash compatibility on some macs, etc). And it's also the BIGGEST edition of the digest, at a whopping 20 pages...! Anyway, hope you all enjoy it! P.S. on the first page I allude to the fact that last month did not get quite as many things done as I had planned (and indeed, haven't even posted much on the forums either - though I have been keeping an eye on things every day just to make sure its all running smoothly). I'll be explaining to you all why very soon.. Cheers, - Paul

Rammstein: Yup, most definitely will be on SBG. I am just trying to figure out which is the best category for them - I am leaning towards featuring various Viking Swords towards the end of the Ancient Swords page, though the other alternative is to create a stand alone 'dark age' swords between the ancient & medieval. Also have a Windlass Viking Sword that I must get around to reviewing before I put the section together, tricky! David: I'm sure Lisa will feature your war sword if you send her the relevant pics. Be sure to post it on SBG if you get it done!

Here's an idea:
Why not call the medieval category "european" to give it a broader scope?
