Hey folks! the February edition of the Sword Buyers Digest should have just hit your inbox (Well, twice actually - not sure why it is doing that, it seems to hit mine twice, is anyone else getting it in duplicate?). Anyway, forumites should see some familiar things in there (and some brand new stuff too of course) - I've 'stolen' a few bits and pieces from the forums there to encourage other SBG newsletter readers to join in. I really do like the atmopshere here at the moment, but I think that it would be nice if some real newbies would pop in and ask the forum some questions they have etc. Anyway, hope you enjoy this months edition - let me know what you guys think and any improvements that can be made. Cheers, - Paul

hehe, I was NOT expecting to see ANYTHING I wrote in the newsletter..... DOH, I just noticed that I made a typo in my "review" "but it I think comes in..." should've been "but I think it comes in..." OOOPS I like your "combat umbrellas" addendum BTW, I only received the newsletter once as well.

I just watched the Pumpkin Broadsword video. ;D That was awesome! Surprisingly, the guy actually got some clean cuts, though some others were less than spectacular. Pardon me, while I go out and buy some pumpkins...

This is fun, having stuff we wrote come out in the magzine only got it once. By the way, I changed my email, bt the link doesn't seem to be working? Also, about the contest. Being only 16 I might not be eligible to win the review contest? Please shed some light. Thanks!

Well, technically you are right. But I am sure if you win your parents would be able to claim it for you and hold it until you are 18... Also, about the contest. Being only 16 I might not be eligible to win the review contest? Please shed some light. Thanks!

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. If you win, just have your folks contact trueswordsman and have him ship the sword to them. No fuss, no muss. ;D

rammstein is 16!? wha? boy, he/you speak(s) in a very intelligent and mature way you/he deserves adult priveledges more than I, thats for sure. Rammstein, your vocabulary beats mine by a long shot and people have complemented me for having an impressive one.
Paul, by what time next year are you planning on having another sword designing competition? (cause I rarin' to show my caladbolg design!)

Hobomurai, compliments are greatly appreciated! I was reading this post today on the school library computers (probably not allowed but what's the worst that can happen? I get a detention for being interested in history ;D?) and I wanted to respond to your post. But I can hardly be described as mature... Maybe I don't sound like it over a forum, but I am *theoretically* learning disabled and have severe adhd. Still, you wouldn't know it from looking at me, only when I get exited . More of a hyper issue than anything else. Anyway, my thanks to you for what you said. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside ;D edit: by the way, hobomurai: I'd like to see your design, if you'd care to show me! Adam and I exchanged our designs as well as our opinions on each other's work during the contest. I gave my designs to shootermike and a few others as well. So, if you don't mind sending it via pm, you should know that I, for one, am very interested in your work!

I like the sword testing section in the new digest. Make my pell testing look like childsplay.
