Well actually Katana(s) review (grr - I hate to use that word - after all, the plural of Katana is - KATANA - much like fish and fish, but I am going off topic already..) Anyway, back on topic I've just spent the last couple of days testing some very cheap $59 Katana and have finally got the review for them together - which you can see hereWhile obviously a sixty buck sword isn't going to even be in the same league as Cheness or Hanwei - one of them actually performs pretty well and was quite a pleasant surprise. Anyway, check 'em out and let me know what you guys think of the review - good, bad or indifferent. Cheers, - Paul

Interesting. I'd never have thought a US$60.00 sword would be at all usable, apparently I am something of a sword snob. Good review on the low end of low ends, but I'm curious as to how they'd stand up to long term use. As you were unable to remove the hilt, are you comfortable with the idea that these are indeed full tang blades? I have to admit a great deal of surprise that even one of those swords would cut Tatami, and do so with such apparent ease. Nicely done Paul.

Great reviews. Just goes to show that you can't judge a book by it's cover, or in this case, price tag
