Hey guys, Just thought I'd let you in on an easy way to keep up to date with any major site changes and additions I have added to Sword Buyers Guide... I've created a new site side SBG Sword Blog which is basically a RSS blog of any new pages that go up and any old ones which get a few changes. For example, as of the time of writing this post, I've added some more vids and pics to the Cheness Tenchi Review which make it just a bit more interesting (just did the sapling cut yesterday! Though I had done something similar before). While this blog system isn't perfect, it certainly does help to know what's been going on at SBG and also allows me to post other news mesages there that are a bit more specific than the update. Anyway, let me know what you think. I have quite a large list of updates and new pages to add before the end of the month, so this is the place to see them. But in the meantime, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions on any other pages you'd like to see let me know and I'll add 'em to the list! ;D Cheers, - Paul

I stumbled onto the blog yesterday while looking through the SBG site. I knew nothing about it, but it worked just like you say Paul. I could quickly see what all had changed since my last visit.
Thanks for adding this feature. It should be a big help to those of us who like to visit it every week or so and see what's new.
More karma to PAUL!

LOL Glad this update has made things a bit clearer to navigate SBG - expect lots of new updates over the coming weeks, I've got a 'to do' list about a mile long (and that's just this months!)

Paul, you may want to consider some AT reviews seeing as a lot of us (not me, but soon, I may!) are getting them for far less than $300. Just a recommednation by the way...every song rammstein has ever released or even thought of releasing is on my ipod.

In case anyone noticed, I am no longer listed as a site moderator. Just wanted to let who ever's interested know that I didn't make a boo-boo and get disciplined or anything. ;D I just asked Paul to revert me to regular member status. It's mostly because it seems that since I got that "Moderator" tag Rammstein is the only one who will tell me how fulla crap I am when I screw up. Anyway, thanks to Paul for letting me have input and do some interesting stuff on the forum.

So, now that I am back to being "ShooterMike, mild mannered sword swingin' dude"...
I have been pestering Paul to consider developing a super-cool SBG logo and putting it on tee shirts and coffee mugs, and sell 'em. Mostly because I want at least one of each. But also because he puts a bunch of his time and money into SBG and the SBG Forum, and he should be able to recoup a little of his hard-earned moola by selling some cool merchandise.
So who else would want a Sword Buyers Guide and SBG Forum tee shirt or coffee mug?

I am SO going to buy a shirt if it comes out.
All of my friends just roll their eyes when I tell them about swords though. Seems that rap music, girls, and cars are the fad of today, so I'm not sure how much good spreading the word would do. But hey, I know at least one person wh owuld be interested, probably more if I looked really hard.
And I'm going to take that as a compliment shootermike, but I'm not sure if it was meant as one ;D
(and belated congratulations being sent for swashbuckler ranking ;D)

But hey, I know at least one person wh owuld be interested, probably more if I looked really hard. Where I live its Surfing, Rugby, and Utes.None of which appeal to me. Don't get me wrong, I go for a swim in the ocean everyday in the warmer months but if my neighbours were to know of my regular tamashegiri, kata training,e.t.c in my backyard, they would probably think very differently of me or as most Australians do just stare at you and make some smart-arse sub-racial comments. As it is, I can only practice with shinken, or iaito outside after dark. How covert is that? Anything more than karate in my area , is regarded with suspicion. When we practice Jodo, we have to lock the exterior door so as to stop unwanted entry. Oh yeah, don't give up on women, there is a world full of them just waiting to blow your whislte ! ;D ;D

Moving on... I think Shootermike may have twisted my arm (ow!). I'm going to look into it and see what we can come up with. He ran an idea past me to design a T-shirt with a character 'the backyard cutter'... To be honest, a long while ago when SBG was in its infancy, I toyed with the idea of creating a character (or two) similar to this who would give their own, er, characteristed opinion of a sword or pop in with 'his' take on it. I dismissed it at the time because I thought it was a bit hokey. And, well, it still is - but I am not above being hokey...! What do you guys think? - Paul

(Spoken with the deep TV Commercial Guy voice and much fanfare)
The Backyard Cutter... Masked avenger, and the terror of plastic bottles and cardboard boxes everywhere!

HEY! I went looking through the SBG Main Site to find the "contribute" link to PayPal and I can't seem to find it. I wanted to make a small contribution to help out with the running of the site while Paul and Kana are spending all their extra cash on diapers and such. Anyone know where is went? Maybe I'm just blind or "challenged" in the web surfing department.
