Hey! does anyone know of any dojos in the poughkeepsie area of NY that teach Iaijutsu and Kenjutsu? I really want to start learning these styles of swordsmanship so any help would be greatly appreciated. - Thanks , rob

Well, I'm not too familiar with the NY area, but here is a listing of Kendo dojo in NY. www.auskf.info/dojo/ny.htmWhile it's not old style kenjutsu, kendo would give you a great basis in swordsmanship. It allows you to fully commit to fighting an opponent without fear of hurting him or getting hurt. Also, you might find someone within that dojo who also does a kenjutsu or iaido koryu. If there's a dojo near you, it can't hurt to check it out. Hope that helps.
