I certainly WISH I had the $900 on hand to buy this beauty... hollow ground ... mmmmmmmmmmmmmm Second choice would be the Reeve I think.... This got me looking at the other hollow ground swords offered by Albion. First www.albion-swords.com/swords/albion/nextgen/sword-medieval-kingmaker-xviii.htm - still a bit steep even with the discounts. Darn nice looking though. Considering www.albion-swords.com/swords/albion/nextgen/sword-medieval-burgundian-xviii.htm instead. Same hollow ground blade, lower price point, and with the nice discount a bit more affordable. Been looking for something that stands out from some of my other swords without breaking the bank. The Burgundian fits that criteria. Decisions decisions. I'm curious as to how well a hollow ground sword performs and what edge maintenance is like.

Hehe, it's not even the looks, I like how the sherriff feels the best. But glad to know I have another oddball to join me in the corner . I dunno about the feel... to date, I have yet to so much as touched any Albion sword... so I have no idea how the sherriff, or any other Albion, feels. The one I almost bought would have been my first... if only I had not stoped to consider it and Odingaard then swopped in and removed the option from me.

But. But.... The Kingmaker is so damn beautiful... If this thread was "Which Albion to get as a Gift" I'd be on that like a skank on Bret Michaels. Seeing as how it's "Which Albion to Buy?" however, I have to agree with you as per the Burgundian being a better value. But since I can't afford either...I'll keep wishing upon a style 9 crossguard and type K pommel.

Sure are some tempting shiny sharps.

Now if we could start listing Atrims, Christian Fletcher Customs, High-End VA stuff and FableBlades, then it would be a party!

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, I had a number of Albion swords, but that collection is long gone. If I were going to buy one Albion sword today it would definitely be the Gaddjhalt.
