I purchased the Mercenary, the Sheriff, and the Landgraf. I eyed them all for awhile, and was able to pick them up used in recent months for very reasonable prices. Of all of these, I am torm between which is my favorite. I am slightly partial to the Mercenary, but they are all great swords. I am glad I took the plunge.

I have a customized Coustille from Windlass; would that be a suitable review candidate?

I personally think you are all off. The Munich is by far their best creation. I always wanted a good gothic bastard. I'll take one with halfwire grip and the x. I own a Yeoman and a Squire Line Great Sword. Both of them are great weapons. The Yeoman isn't for everyone though. It's more a shortsword but its great for close quaters. It cuts through anything, with ease! Though the Munich, now that's the sword to get!

The Yeoman is my favorite single hander from them for sure; the Mercenary is probably my favorite longsword, the Baron is my favorite Grete Swert of War.
But the Soldat is unique.

Hehe, it's not even the looks, I like how the sherriff feels the best. But glad to know I have another oddball to join me in the corner .

S-Mike, that's exactly what I love about that Gaddjhalt- I read up on this particular sword and got all kinds of excited. I was also debating on the Arn sword as that one is perfectly sized for me as well.
I'm a Type Xa guy (altho I confess to loving the XIIa and XIIIa blades as well)...ideally those are the perfect swords for me.

I love Arn's sword, very nice sword. But it doesn't fall under the discount.

Yea I know...but I really want that sword...but with the Regal Collection coming up soon I have to make a decision. For the amount of money the Arn is selling for, I can have a true-to-life Atrim with CF designed fittings and scabbard and suspension rig. And do I really need a $1000 wall hanger? I read it says it is not to be used as a sword...what the hell?

They don't encourage using it, but not because of anything structural. It is as functional as any Albion. One guy at myarmoury asked about the functionality of these and the answer was that they are made as any other Albion sword.

Then why do they discourage use? I'm not trying to challenge anybody, but I'm curious as to why they would not want you to use it.

"Any such use voids all warranties and no liability of any kind for such use can be assumed by Film Swords, LLC or its licensors." The film companies, etc. are just protecting their asses with legalese.

I hate that kind of nonsense. If it is really a sword you should be able to use it.

Well as I'm from the state of lawyers, I know exactly why it's there. You may not like it, but if they didn't say it, they couldn't do it.

But isn't that with any sword you own? The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for an individual's actions...wait, what am I saying? We live in a country that awarded a multi-million dollar lawsuit over hot COFFEE. LMAO So now, I understand, thanks guys.
