Yeah, I know to stay away from the sword, a pity it turned out so poorly. I agree that the sequel looks to be a decent improvement, but the first was I think was quite good, though I have the PC version, and I hear that had some big improvements like adding more types of missions. Anyway, I think the suspension system is absurd, unless you can somehow get the belt to work around your waist. In the game he draws the knife from his back with his right hand under his left armpit, and unless he can dislocate his arm at will I still can't figure out how he does it.

eruialsal, Altair is a good deal more flexible than you and I; you could say he's the godfather of free running, yea?
I wondered myself how feasible it would be to try to draw that short sword from the back like he does...and I wasn't willing to shell out the $140 or so to find out. I love the game, I still pop it in from time to time...well, I used to til my 360 went on the blink, but I love that game and still play it for the swordwork from time to time.
Nothing like challenging ALL of the guards in the area to get the juices flowing!
Sean's right, the sword's lame...if you hear 'cast' anything, its crap. You don't want cast parts on a functional sword...at least...I don't want cast metal parts on any sword I intend to cut with. That's perfect for wall hangers...UC is big on using cast metal parts for their hilts but then, they're designing those pieces to be hung on a wall. Just like this sword.
