Lol, it's cool. Be whoever you want here, as long as it's yourself. ;D
Truly I envy your notion and ability to acquire an Atrim, man. Christian is very helpful and experienced, so email him with any questions about which model might suit your needs. However, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. The ONLY downside of an atrim is historical accuracy, and if you're the type who doesn't care about that (as am I), man... You'll have one of the best swords in the world. An Atrim was the sword that turned long-time katana lover Marc Ridgeway to the 'dark-side'.
Of course, I've never been graced with a chance to handle one myself, but I have read extensive amounts of praise for them on the internet and I consider myself to have a reasonable amount of 'second-hand knowledge', lol.
Oh, and I really like the top line of your signiture; very cool. +1 for originality and a good piece of wisdom. ;D

I will indeed endeavor to refine mine search to add Atrims to mine list. In the spirit of the code of Arthur, I must insist that thou remove thine gift of karma, so graciously given. I hath heard the line thou spokest of somewhere and have searched mightily, yet fruitlessly, for the author - hence the quote marks used. I did not mean to take credit for such a true saying, and apologize if I hath mislead anyone. Strider

Thou art truly welcome Sir Darkstrider. Twas the reason that, that...Aw I can't talk like that !! I realized that I'd posted links to reviews of another Tinker bastard sword. That's why I deleted my post. I need to read a bit closer from now on.

Totally off-topic... but here is a quote for your edification, darkstrider. "For sooth, his opponent was cloven in twain by the mighty sweep of his majestic blade." Just thought you might like that one. ;D

Just thought you might like that one. ;D I hath been educated, Sir Mike! Truly, I do enjoy an artful turn of words. Methinks I must start a new thread so that I and others might educate each other in the King's English (especially if I am going to keep talking like this). Strider

Who cares about the queen, God save ME! With all this fancy lingo flyin' around, my head's spinning around so much that it'd fall off if'n I had a threaded tang! Lucky me I'm peened. Hmm... my sister always did say someone musta hit me on the head when I was a baby... (joking) Oh, and strider? I knew that that was a quote from someone due to the well placed quotation marks, and expected that you were unable to locate the source. My gift of karma for originality remains intact. I thought it'original' becuase no one else on SBG has that; you know, like all those stupid things that people put in their signitures that other people copy? Ugh, I hate that little bunny thing. ;D Anyway, here's another karma for your valiant and truthful nature. You are truly a valuable member of our home on the virtual plane. -Slayer P.S. Next time I respond to this thread, it'll be so packed full of thee's and thine's you'll have to bash me on the head with a cold steel bad axe to make me shut up. ;D Avast thee! (wait a second... I think that there was something wrong with that... )

Learning never hurt anyone...at least, not anyone I can think of. Speaking the King's English can be fun and definitely worth learning; should you ever find yourself at a Ren Faire you'll impress a few honeys at the very least...

Anybody brave enough to speak like you did in a world as twisted as the modern one deserves respect.

Just checked Tinker's site and it seems these aren't in stock atm. I wouldn't mind one of these bad boys in the distant future Edit to add: Oh and my favourite Euro swords are type XVIII's or XIV's (or similar types). Anything by Tinker or Gus Trim are swords that I could actually see myself taking to war (god forbid) just in case the bullets run out (god forbid again). Hope that helps

I can't contain my excitement anymore! I have ordered a Tinker/Hanwei fullered bastard sword from Michael "Tinker" Pierce, and should receive it on Wednesday. He has taken it to stage 1 (sharpened, polished, guard re-forged to be bent forward like the pictures on his website). Mr. Pierce has been a delight to work with, and I will be ordering more swords from him. He is just the type of artist/businessman we need to keep in business, with old time values such as respect and dignity that are sadly lacking in today's society. I will post some pictures when I get the sword, and I will attempt to provide a review, as best I can. I am already eying one of his long swords, semi-customized like the bastard sword, perhaps with a monogram on the pommel. I got my Hanwei/Tinker bastard in the mail the other day (not fullered), and I will cobble together a review when I get a chance.

My fellow knights, I hath returned from a most difficult quest. I must apologize for my tardiness in expounding the virtues mine Tinker/Hanwei fullered bastard sword. The most grievous demands on mine time this past fortnight hath prevented mine continued discourse on this topic. A fortunate turn of events hath resolved the situation for now, and I am able to respond to mine favorite pastime once more. I will endeavor to post magically realistic drawings (photos) of the most excellent Tinker/Hanwei blade that hath been bestowed upon mine unworthy self by Sir Tinker himself.

"Mine" instead of "my" only in front of vowels or H by the way, o thou worthy sir.

"Mine" instead of "my" only in front of vowels or H by the way, o thou worthy sir. Mine thanks for thine instruction! Tis indeed unseeming, mine misuse of our good king's english. I shall endeavor to unearth a scroll for mine proper education. Any suggestions that thou knowest of would be most appreciated. Strider
