Hey all! Got another design for ya'll. I am usually not a big gothic guy - dark designs are not my thing. But I liked how this one turned out, and as I was coloring it, I figured it was definitely a gothic piece. Designed as a sturdy cutter, I would hope the sword to come out around 3 to 3.5 pounds. - Stats - Length: 46" Blade: 36" Grip: 9" Weight: 3 - 3.5 lb Blade width: 2", 2.5" at the base flare. Thanks all. Crockett

love it! That one is by far my favorite, it's slightly less fantasy than the others +1 for doing it again!

I really like the blade and pommel aesthetics and I think it would be a great cutter.
However, I have one major concern, based on my experience with other battle-ready fantasy swords from makers who made the same mistake I am trying to keep you from making: the arrowhead-shaped points on the crossguard ends. The part that points back toward the pommel will invariable snag the wielder's wrist when swung.
I Have done it myself, and man it hurts. This is the reason you don't see sharp pointy bits pointing back at the wielders hands in historical swerds (at least, no swords that I can think of off hand).
Don't get me wrong; I only mention it because other than the issue I brought up, I really like your design.
