Is back in the catalog, did you guys know this? If so, MODS, please delete. I just got it the other day and saw that sword in it last night.

slightly confused... and I suppose this has nothing to do with me... but now I am curious.
What catalog? And why delete it?

Also still for sale at Arms of Valor and Swords of Honor (possibly, probably others?). I was just out yesterday with mine, working on some of the winter crop of milk jugs. Its a great sword, I just need to get a better scabbard.

They also still had it at KOA, last time I checked...Those people at Windlass are sure hard to follow...in the catalog and in closeout at the same time...for how long will it be around?

I thought they'd already discontinued it- I thought I'd read that on here somewhere. It was being discussed in a thread, I think ShooterMike was saying he was glad he got his before it went out to pasture.
I'll see if I can find it while taking a stroll around but it might take me some time to dig up. If its even still there.

I know we have had a few threads JOKE about how the XIV would be discontinued any day because it's popular and sells well, thus Windlass will stop making it.

Geez, do they just make a set amount of each sword and then move on regardless of how well it sold? I guess it's good that they come out with new models so frequently, and it wouldn't be possible to keep all of the old models around forever while still doing that, but you think they'd keep the more popular ones around for longer than they tend to.
Well, I'm glad I got mine already, and I hope they don't discontinue it, it's a good sword, I would hate for others to miss out on it.

Damn. It's on closeout, but not exactly at a discount. And I promised myself I'd give a Gen2 Henry V a try first in this price range.
My version of Brokeback Mountain. "Windlass Steelcrafts, why can't I quit you ...?"

It is a pity this is going to the wayside. I rather hoped I could get myself one of these some day, as it looks like it could be greatly improved with a simple new grip.

Sean, that'd explain why you're so in love with that Bristol...right up your alley. I get the impression you're a rather large fellow, so that you love the relatively shorter swords is funny to me.

I like large swords... if they are two handed swords. For single handed swords I don't like blades longer then 30 inchs and prefer somewhere between 24 - 28 inchs. Your right... the Ulfberht, XIV, Bristol... all shorter, faster single handes swords, just my style. However I can not WAIT for Tinker's GSoW... and thats a big boy... and I like my VA Practical Long Sword... and have my eye on plenty of Atrim longswords.

Oh yea, no doubt- but I did notice. Tinker's GSoW...yea...been wrestling with that internally for a bit now as I also want the Templar and cannot afford both. What to do, what to do...
I also noticed mike arledge selling a Hanwei/Tinker Viking...kinda want THAT but not yet fully in love with that style of sword. I should probably just get it and go from there.
