Boy it took forever for the page to open. I'm glad I waited that is a pretty cool find, and it would be great if it was loaded with sword. I know that if there are some on this ship they are probably not in great shape, but what if......... Some freak condition of the water had somehow preserved the metal and any found would be like new.
If I'm gonna dream I might as well dream BIG right.

In fresh water burial in silt can leave a lot of metal preserved . See Mainz Gladius , or Withham River Viking . Another plus is to see a sword associated with its own ship . Wood can be dated other artifacts compaired . Unlike ship burials in a shipwreck , objects found are random daily use items not those picked for funeral rites .

I couldn't get it to open at first...what an amazing find. Its like a dream come true, finding something like that.
