I just been out playing with my Albrecht II. Nothing I have, including my Poitiers, thrusts better than this sword. Get a good edge on him and he's a hella cutter also. It's just awesome.
Sorry, got a little excited.

I'm looking at getting an A@A Black prince in on the 19th!
Pics will be posted as soon as it comes in. Probably a review as well.

Congratulations on your incoming A&A. Unless they have changed the grind much in the past decade, expect an exrtemely stiff sword with and almost square point crossection. Where many favored cutting swords will perform best on light targets from the perceived cop to the tip, this XVA will tend to favor best cutting ability from the cop hiltward. In other words, not a treasure for bottle cutting by any means. If one does their part and considers the crossection, the sword will still cut mats, while at the same time kind of laugh at truly heavy penetration. At halfsword, and driving down at neck level, mine went through both sides of a hollow core door without hesitation. Cutting was a bit frustrating until spending due time with it and considering its real merit.
Things like phone book penetration and stable thicker objects are the treat of the day. I had initially used the lead shot in bottle and boot as a penetrator that doesn't run away as easily but I couldn't deny trying at cutting at it some. As mentioned previously, once more geared to the crossection, ot opened up a serious gash and displaced the lead balls as it went some halfway through the bottle skin.
No needly point on these but you will see what I mean once in hand. The upgrade to the grips and pommel engraving/casting was a real plus for this model.
Cheers
Hotspur; quite a nice can opener that one
I'm editing to also include that many of the A&A swords may appeared only peened but that that cute square peen block is actually a nut. Don't just wang on the peen once things settle a little. As with all compression fits, there is a settling period. I belive the spanner I use is a 12mm wrench. It should arrive to you with a wonderfully rounded tang end, don't wang on it.

I'm actually getting one of the older models, without the engraving, though I'm thinking about salt-water etching it in aftermarket. But, for the price I'm paying for it (425$) I couldn't find anything to complain about.
Thanks for the tips, though. I wasn't expecting it to be too much of a cutter, though I'm hoping to get into the swing of things, so to speak, as I'm going to base my waster play in WMA as if I'm using it, and want to have an idea of how it will handle under those circumstances.
Like I said, pictures upcoming, soon as it gets in tomorrow.
