Here is a set of matched swords for a friend and customer. One is sharp the other is blunt, for practice and use. Stats are as follows Sharp: Overall - 35 3/8" Blade - 23 1/2" Hilt - 11 7/8" Handle - 9 1/2" Guard is 9" wide Blade is 3/16ths thick and 1 7/16" wide Weight is 2.4 pounds POB - is 1/2 in front of the guard, 1 inch from the front of the handle. Stats for the blunt: Overall - 35 1/2" Blade - 23 3/4" Hilt - 11 13/16" Handle - 9 1/2" Guard is 9" wide also Blade is 3/16ths thick and 1 7/16" wide Weight is 2.9 pounds POB is 1/2" in front of the guard 1" from the front of the handle also. Handles are black parachord over hickory slabs, hilt parts are mild steel with a brass washer, blade is 1077.

Blades look good Sam... 1/2" POB..... I'll bet those babies handle like a couple of sports cars!

They are extremely light and fast Jim, they are made to do what swords do/did, and do it well. The POB being where it is, and the extra long handle make for some serious leverage and speed, and the length makes them great for close quarters.

They seem like the perfect combo to wield at the same time. Balanced perfectly for excellent single hand control, and short enough that you won't risk "chopping your own arm off" with one or the other.
I can picture some guy on an ancient battlefield, cutting through the masses with those things.
BTW: What do you charge to make a set of those?

VERY nice same... I love the look of those. HUGE handle-to-blade-ration on those... and a POB of 1/2, gezz. I've love to get my hands on one of those and see what it feels like. I, like Jim, am currious as to the cost on something like that, assuming you would be willing to do it again.

Let's just say that when someone asks me to make something for them, I price it high enough so if they go for it it is worthwhile, if they refuse then no big deal hehe . Honestly, I don't discuss price VIA the forums, PM for pricing info.
