Just saw the Star Trek movie tonight. The sword that Sulu used in the movie is like a collapsible baton sword. I doubt they will be making a replica of it. Cool concept. It would be terribly complicated if it was to be licensed as a collectable. Good movie though. I enjoyed it.

i thought it was a good movie too... i thought the strategy on the side of star fleet was kinda lacking but thats ok haha. i'm also getting kinda sick of time travel but i thin in this case it worked very well since it more or less kept the beginning of the movie in continuity but then established an alternate timeline... just thought that was kinda clever. but yea the sword was cool and i doubt they could even make any kind of replica for it other than a solid blade with the lines to show the segmentations of the blade engraved in or something
