The Hanwei Bastard, it looks like.
Where is the picture of that 15 foot odachi...I'll google it when I'm back at my computer.

My mother visited at Christmas, and I took a pic of her with the Kensei Jidai Nodachi... She is just over 5ft. 6 inches tall

I'm starting to want that one more and more... I did manage to find one of the odachi I was looking for: japantrip.tripod.com/nodachi/norimitsu.htmlThe blade alone is over 7.4 feet in length. Not too shabby, I'd say. There was another picture I remember, though, that I can't find... Twas a group of some five or six people seated behind a giant chokuto, if memory serves, that had to be at least as long as the norimitsu, and incredibly wide. Can't find it, though.

I do live with two females.... the living room is a female domain.... Edit... but not anymore, I moved to get away from them.... The walls I mean, not the females....

It's my understanding that in a situation where the females outnumber the males, the whole joint is a female domain. Congratulations on liberating yourself from the pink walls!

The biggest and the baddest? For me, those are two separate weapons :-). The biggest: A German zwiehander, that is six feet six inches tall. The baddest: A Renaissance-era replica warhammer; the 'business end' is shaped like a human fist . Photos here: (Sword height comparison to closet door.) The sword is 6'6". I'm 5'8". Carrying that thing around was . . . interesting. --Edward P.S. Of note: The zwie is the sword that I'm carrying on my shoulder in my profile picture.

[understatement]Bad ass sword[/understatement] what the hell did you pay for that thing? its awesome lol Thanks . Actually, I paid about $125 or $150 at a Ren Fair for it. The steel is so-so; and the crosspiece was originally a piece of crap brass thing that a buddy replaced with the steel one you see in the photos. Said buddy also broke off the original rat-tailed tang and welded on a new one *gasp*. However, strangely enough that sword has taken a beating and *still* has shown no signs of metal stress at the weld, the tang, or the blade (maybe it's because the weld is several inches down in the handle than at the crosspiece . . .). I don't know what kind of voodoo he did, but I gave it to a metalworker/swordsmith buddy of mine who approved it for "use" (ie. stage fighting and form practice). It's a great sword for stage combat and practicing German langschwert fechtbuch techniques, but I would not cut anything with it. The fact that it has lasted *this* long --especially with the welded tang-- mystifies me . I'm not pushing my luck, though. I rarely take it out anymore to Ren Fairs, etc. and I've more-or-less retired it from stage combat. --Edward
