Last Legend advertise this sword is made from modified 1060 steel, it has quite a stiff spring temper
to it, and it has a reasonable polish and is about sharp as my Cheness Shura.
The Handle and Scabbard are all wrapped in leather with steel bands along its length,
these need oiling or they rust, the black finish to the leather also bleeds if it gets wet.
The handle bands help hold it together and on two of them if you look closely you can just
about see the ends of the steel mekugi pegs which secure it to the 11 inch steel tang.
One of these bands has LL stamped on it.
Due to the 4cm POB this sword is very lively (fast is an understatement)
Ive cut water filled bottles but i will leave tatami cutting to someone else with one.
Value 5/5 its a Last Legend
Build Quality 5/5
Structural Integrity 5/5
Handling 5/5
Historical Accuracy well this is more of a Hells Angel version on drugs of the Blind Warriors Sword so 2/5
Last Legend call this a katana but i prefer to use the name sword stick, some people may prefer the Chen Version
as that has a Brass Habaki and looks more like the movie sword.
The Last Legend version seems up to light cutting and perhaps a bit more.
Buy one today if you want something different for your collection, good for a bit of fun cutting now and then.
thanks for reading this mini review, hope you have found some of it interesting
